My family and I took a road trip from California to Washington State. It was a week long and I found that being with my mom makes me happy. She likes spending time with me. It’s when she spends time alone that she worries about whether or not I will be straight. Here’s to spending more time with our parents.!!!

It’s been a long journey. From feeling depressed about constantly asked to change my sexuality to learning to be okay with the fact that my mom will never stop asking me to change. There is love, there is hope for peace and growth in every challenge! My Mother’s Orphan premieres at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood this Sunday March 16th at Outfest’s Fusion People of Color LGBTQ Film Festival! Thank you for all the support!
Then there are days when you dance with your mother even after she tells you she’ll never accept who you are—that you are gay. She smiles after telling you that the new year is another chance to change. Her eyes beaming with newfound hope. This is a special love letter to all mothers, especially to my own.
This is the first color/mood testing of the film, My mother’s Orphan. It was a spur of the moment dance I did at night with my camera. Let me know what you think. This film might be in black and white but we’ll see!
Turning pain into art in 100 days: I joined giveit100.com to show My Mother’s Orphan short film come to life ever day in 10 sec videos. Coming out and coming from a devoutly religious family can be a roller coaster. Only time can make the ride more tolerable.
This is Day 2 showing the progress of My Mother’s Orphan Short Film as it’s produced in the next few months. Today I did a small rewrite on the script and chose the Character sides for Auditions. We are set to audition the week of January 13th!
